Do you dream of waking up to stunning scenery? For some of us nothing is better than enjoying our first hot drink of the day while we can stare out onto great natural beauty.

It quite changes the day, we think.

And so we picked some of our favorite rooms with a view that inspires to share with you:

The Outpost (Kruger National Park, RSA)

Look out across a vast and remote wilderness. Abundant and less common wildlife roam this diverse terrain. Carefully designed with clean lines that blend into the surroundings. This is the most scenically beautiful and diverse part of the entire Kruger Park.

Bumi Hills (Kariba, Zimbabwe)

If water is what soothes your soul then the ten lake view rooms of Bumi Hills Safari Lodge will deliver all you need. Looking out over the great inland sea of Lake Kariba it is possible to surround yourself with serenity and style… all the better to enjoy paradise and beyond.

Birkenhead House, (Hermanus, RSA)

A cliff’s edge in the Western Cape has glorious views of two sandy beaches, with whales to boot between June and November. The elegance of wicker loungers, ostrich feather lampshades, and fresh roses elevate this property. It is a dream.

Chongwe Albida Suite (Chongwe River, Zambia)

Sublime luxury and service set the wild surroundings off perfectly. Butler service, a plunge pool that makes the most of the view and a private dining option turns the Albida into the perfect retreat for four.Bumi Hills Room with a view

Olonana (Masai Mara, Kenya)

A private stretch of the Mara River in the heart of the Masai Mara features 14 glass-sided suites. The breath-taking wonder of Africa and its wildlife is everywhere. During the migration, the action comes home, right to the doorstep of this Eco camp.

Rekero (Masai Mara, Kenya)

The romance of a bygone safari era oozes from the tents above the mighty Talek River. When the migration passes by, the wildebeest thunder across the river right outside your room. A traditional take on the African Safari.Room with a view Rekero

Sarara (Namunyak Wildlife Conservancy, Kenya)

This is a unique world set within the remote Samburu territory of Kenya. A primordial backdrop surrounds the camp which is set at the junction where the amphitheater of the Mathews Range meets the desert.

Sindabezi Island (Zambezi River, Zambia)

A white-sand island idyll that is the only luxury bush camp within easy reach of Victoria Falls. With only five open-sided Chalets the island is the epitome of exclusivity with views across the floodplains of the Zambezi and into a neighboring park.

Sausage Tree (Zambezi River, Zambia)

The grassy islands of the Zambezi’s floodplains are a favorite for buffalo and crocodile and on a sandy riverbank Sausage Tree Camp looks out onto the rugged escarpment. Tents and suites have a personal butler and a lovely deck and pool provide the finishing touches.

Ol Malo (Nanyuki, Kenya)

The Northern Frontier District of Kenya features dense thorn bush. In this place, wildlife and people have been co-existing for a long time and the natural local materials of Ol Malo are sculpted into a warm and hospitable lodge within the rocky hillside. The views from your private veranda are always inspiring.

Duba Plains (Okavango Delta, Botswana)

A matrix of palm-dotted islands, floodplains, woodland and astonishing game viewing, Duba Plains was designed by Dereck Joubert who is based here with his wife Beverly. The camp has developed a sophisticated relationship with local communities and guests may enjoy a steady stream of wildlife parading past their raised decking.

Abu Sleep Out (Okavango Delta, Botswana)

Sleeping out under the African night is always incredible. When you are surrounded by Abu’s herd of elephants it is another experience entirely. The camp stands within a pristine copse of riverine forest and the buildings blend seamlessly with the surrounding hardwood trees. Rooms look out over a large lagoon.

Singita Lebombo (Kruger National Park, RSA)

Cutting edge design in an African context has resulted in a bold and contemporary yet very organic and natural lodge. A private villa is built low down on the river bank, shrouded by mature trees and comes fully staffed with an open plan kitchen and its own boma.
