With just a small number of guests per boat and no set itinerary this is a great way to end your time in Africa! Days will be spent drifting down the Chobe River spotting incredible wildlife scenes, taking the smaller tender boats for daily excursions to view the over 450 species of birds found in this wetland paradise and photographing the wildlife you find along the shores. You may even observe the odd elephant that decides to swim across the river which is quiet the spectacle! Spend time lazing on the deck with an ice-cold beverage and soak up your tranquil surroundings.
Each cabin on board the Chobe Princesses has its own private view onto the ever-changing landscape. As you lie on your king-sized bed, spot an elephant grazing on the riverbank nearby, or see a fish eagle diving for its prey. Enjoy relaxing on the upper entertainment deck’s spacious lounge and bar area or lean back and relax in the plunge pool.
We absolutely love this as an option for family and friend groups! With only four cabins on two of three boats, and only five cabins on three of three, enjoy the luxury houseboat all to yourselves!
Game viewing on the Chobe River is at its most exceptional from March to November when the weather is drier and the animals are more mobile as they search for food and water. Summer and spring also offer unique opportunities though, as you watch the landscape burst into life after the first rains of the season
