Camp Moremi is situated on the edge of the Xakanaxa Lagoon in Botswana’s world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve – an area known for its spectacular game-viewing.
At Camp Moremi, daily game drives provide the chance to spot wildlife in the beautiful surroundings of Moremi Game Reserve. Experienced guides will introduce you to a whole new world of wildlife; watch a Leopard stretched out lazily in the branches of a Mopane tree, herds of elephant grazing under a canopy of green or a pride of lions camouflaged in the long grass.
Also be sure to explore the water lily-ringed Xakanaxa Lagoon and the surrounding Okavango Delta channels by motorboat for a fun way to experience Africa’s wildlife. Moremi Game Reserve’s incredible wetlands support a vast number of antelope, including impala, kudu and waterbuck. The majestic fish eagle and vivid malachite kingfisher are frequently seen and even the rare pel’s fishing owl makes an occasional appearance, to the delight of guides and guests alike. Other sightings may include hippos enjoying the clear, cool water, and if you’re lucky…the chance to watch big game making their way through the reeds to drink or bathe at the water’s edge.
Returning to the camp in between your game viewing activities, enjoy sundowners in the cocktail bar with its stunning views of the Lagoon. Take a dip in the secluded swimming pool or laze on the sundeck with a good book.
