Tortilis Camp has unsurpassed views of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, that rises out from the semi-arid bush studded plains. Here you will have access to a private 30,000- acre conservancy- a perfect setting to enjoy walks with experienced Masai guides, bush breakfast and sundowners.
We love Tortilis for avid photographers with its picture perfect landscape and home to over 1000 elephants. On game drives you may spot lions, cheetahs, hyenas and jackals that hunt the prolific plains. The Acacia Tortilis forest is host to many bird species and literally thousands of intricate weaver nests that hang above the tents.
With only 10% of Amboseli National Park accessed by most safari vehicles along with Tortilis Camp’s unique location on the western edge of the park (most lodges are outside of the eastern gate), guests can enjoy an almost private Amboseli. The Tortilis Camp guides are based at camp in Amboseli and know their backyard intimately.
