The Villa is Perfect for a Large Group
The island villa offers an expansive living area featuring fun surprises like an indoor aquarium, Steinway grand piano, impressive wine collection, cigar humidor, glass rimmed swimming pool and a wrap-around dining area with its 180-degree view of the ocean.
In total, the villa can accommodate 10 adults and 9 kids. However, on request there is an option to accommodate an additional 16 guests in banda style beach huts and safari-style tents on the island.
You have Exclusive Use of the Shunyi Mbili Marine Reserve
Swim and snorkel in the translucent, tropical waters of the Shunyi Mbili Marine Reserve. Enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience of an up-close encounter with the gentlest giants of the ocean, the whale sharks, when they congregate just south of Thanda Island from October to February – an amazing, bucket list experience!
Sailboats, SUP paddle boards, jet skis and kayaks are also available for exploring the coral reefs during the day. Wrap up the day with a sundowner cruise on a traditional Arabian dhow!
One of our favorite excursions is diving in Chole Bay. Here you, can scuba dive in the Mafia Island Marine Park, the largest marine protected area in the Indian Ocean. Here you can experience some of the most spectacular diving off the East African Coast, including an intriguing diversity of coral reefs, 5 species of turtles and 400 species of enchanting reef sh. Because Chole Bay is well protected, you can dive here all year round.
