Begin your African adventure in Victoria Falls where you can enjoy a couple of days on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River before flying southwards to the Okavango Delta in Botswana. From here you will fly onto your adventure in Cape Town at the foot of Table Mountain. After a couple of days discovering all the delights the southern point of the continent has to offer you are ready to explore the interior and are off to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve for all the wild fauna and flora of the African bush.

DAY 1

Travel day to Africa

Your journey begins as you board your international flight to Africa.

DAY 2

Victoria Falls and Zambezi River Cruise

Welcome to Africa. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the award-winning Tongabezi. This evening take in the surrounding views of the great Zambezi River from your small boat with your private river guide. From this unique vantage point, view bird life and wildlife up close on the islands along the river.

DAY 3

Tour and Scenic Flight over Victoria Falls

Today, explore the largest sheet of falling water in the world. Board a helicopter for a scenic flight of the falls. Viewing the spectacular Victoria Falls from the air is one of the most breath-taking and exhilarating activities in Africa. Afterwards, enjoy a private guided tour of the mighty ‘Smoke That Thunders.’ Return to Tongabezi for dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY 4

Flight to the Okavango Delta – Motor Boat Excursion

Your wildlife safari continues. After breakfast, fly to Little Vumbura Camp, located on a remote island in the private Vumbura Concession in the Okavango Delta. After settling in, set out with a specialist guide on a motor boat excursion, learn more about the animals and how they adapt to their environment in the Okavango wetlands. Return to camp for dinner and a relaxing evening on the star deck which stretches over the waterway.

DAY 5

Okavango Delta Game Drive and Mokoro Safari

This morning you will set out on a morning game drive, culminating your morning safari with a hot breakfast served out in the bush. After lunch and an afternoon rest, hop into a traditional wooden canoe, called a Mokoro, for a game experience on the water. As you glide silently through the waterways, watch elephants drink, birds fishing for their dinner and perhaps even catch a glimpse of a predator on the banks.

DAY 6

Okavango Delta Walking Safari

Today experience the thrill of walking in the bush. Accompanied by an armed guide you will learn more about tracking the wildlife and predators that lives in the bush. Return to camp for lunch. Late afternoon head out for an early evening safari drive, stopping for sundowner cocktails. Take a moment to appreciate the pristine wilderness as the sky turns fire orange before nightfall. Return to camp as the sun sets and the nocturnal creatures start to emerge for the evening.

DAY 7

Cape Town

This morning, transfer from your safari in Botswana to Cape Town, one of the most beloved cities in the world. Arrive and transfer to the iconic Cape Grace Hotel. After settling in, walk out to the bustling Victoria and Alfred Waterfront and enjoy dinner at one of the many fantastic local restaurants.

DAY 8

Cape Town, Touring Cape Peninsula & Table Mountain

After breakfast, set out with your guide on one of the most beautiful drives in the world to Cape Point and the peninsula. The first stop is a cable car ride up to the top of Table Mountain. Along the coastal road, granite boulders serve as lookout points toward the Twelve Apostles, Table Mountain, and the beach of Camps Bay. Pass through charming fishing villages and harbors, looking out for the epic Southern Right Whales. It’s here at the Good Hope Nature Reserve where the whales come to mate and give birth, often resulting in breached whales. Stopping at Boulders Beach, enjoy a walk to experience the only penguins to be found on the African continent. For the more adventurous, you may kayak to them or take a boat ride out to Seal Island. Return to your hotel late afternoon.

DAY 9

Touring the Cape Winelands

Enjoy a delicious full breakfast at your hotel and then head out to the Cape Winelands. For the day we have selected a few small, intimate wineries where you will enjoy tastings and a cellar tour. One of the wine estates we will take you to date back to 1685, making this one of the oldest estates in South Africa. Explore the historically preserved town of Stellenbosch, with neo-Dutch and modern-Victorian architecture. After a day of sampling fine wines paired with cheese & chocolates you will return to your hotel for your overnight stay.

DAY 10

Flight to Sabi Sands Game Reserve

This morning after breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to your safari in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Settle into your luxury suite at Londolozi Granite Camp. This afternoon you will set out with your specialist guide on an afternoon game drive in an open 4×4 vehicle, with a chance of seeing high concentrations of elephants, buffalo, white rhino and lion amongst other game. Return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY 11

Bush Walk and Game Drives

Awake early, setting out on a morning game drive as the sun is rising. Stop for a light breakfast served from the hood of your Land Rover. Then, set out on foot, walking back to camp in the company of an armed ranger in time of lunch. Late afternoon we will depart on a sunset game drive stopping for a cocktails and delicious treats along the way, return to camp for a fireside culinary feast.

DAY 12

Cultural Village and Leopard Tracking

This morning you will have the option of visiting a local traditional village to meet some of the locals. You may choose to stay behind and take part in a yoga class, book a massage or do some boutique shopping. Later this afternoon head out on a sundowner game drive. Leopards are most often encountered on night game drives, which take place after dark. Learn about the Leopard and watch as your guide tracks this elusive creature. Return to camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

DAY 13

Travel Home

Your African Adventure has come to an end, enjoy a short game activity before heading back to Johannesburg for your connecting flight home.
