With an extensive and diverse career in the safari industry and a lifelong connection to Africa, Nicky Stroebel is an exceptional addition to the Rothschild Safaris team.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe to inspiring parents with a wanderlust, Nicky traveled the continent extensively throughout her younger years, particularly throughout Southern Africa and to Malawi, where her father resided. Departing education, she immediately plunged into the adventure travel and hospitality industry, beginning in the dramatic surrounds of Victoria Falls; but it was the African wilderness that truly inspired her.
Traveling throughout East Africa as a tour guide, she evolved to safari travel consultancy roles in Zimbabwe and South Africa before working on site, taking managerial roles at camps in southern Tanzania, Kenya and Zambia.
Parenthood created more than the obvious changes in Nicky’s life, working in operations while raising her daughters in the Land of the Long White Cloud – New Zealand. After 16 years, she migrated west to Australia’s stunning Sunshine Coast where she forged her connection with Rothschild Safaris, fulfilling both her extensive experience and fervent passion for Africa and safari travel.
