After weeks of being in the Namibian desert, I was so ready for the city! And what an amazing city it is. Cape Town never ceases to amaze me, how incredibly beautiful she is. I spent a little less than a week at the One & Only, just a lovely location, great rooms and a huge breakfast spread. My final night in Africa I decided to spend in the Cape Winelands. I arrived at La Residence, was promptly greeted with sparkling wine, and knew this was not going to be a quick lunch! After 3-hours that seemed to pass by terribly quickly we then inspected the property and oh my, this has got to be one of the most amazing properties in the wine country!  We then proceeded to spend the night at the nearby Babylonstoren, another incredible property, with Cape Dutch homesteads scattered throughout impressive gardens. Food, service, location and accommodations here were all above 5 star!
