Little Governor’s Camp is a luxury safari camp located on the edge of the Masai Mara National Reserve. The camp is intimate in character and approached by a boat ride across the Mara River, then an escorted walk through riverine forest. Vehicles are left on the far river bank, therefore the camp is quiet and undisturbed.

The Masai Mara is one of the finest game-viewing areas in Africa. It is not uncommon to see lion, leopard, and cheetah in one game drive! During July-October, you are also likely to see the massive migratory herds of wildebeest and zebra making their famous river crossings from Tanzania’s Serengeti. Other animals to be seen include antelope, buffalo, elephant, hippo, and giraffe.

This camp enjoys an extremely privileged location to see the Great Migration, so we use it quite a lot for Migration itineraries. The game drives are also less crowded than the main reserve and other camps, so you will only see Governor’s camps vehicles on game drives.
