wild_dog_ZarafaOne of our favorite camps in Botswana, Zarafa, is as impressive as the people behind it – award-winning filmmakers Dereck & Beverly Joubert.

This past Wednesday morning, guests there got to witness the Zibadianja wild dog pack killing an impala, followed by the Selinda lion pride walking right through camp the next morning. Thursday evening brought a female leopard walking right in front of the main deck. During dinner that night, “Master,” a waiter, spotted what he thought was a hyena off the main deck.  It turned out to be a female lion which was being followed by 17 more lions who all walked by roaring a little as they went.

Leopards, lions, wild dogs and not to mention a herd of 48 elephants, all in the confines of Zarafa Camp within the past two days. Read the Zarafa blog for the full account.
