Itinerary at a Glance
Day 1 – Your Madagascar Safari
Welcome to Madagascar! You’ll be transferred to the Pavillion de l’ Emyrne in the heart of Tana’s old city. Settle in and enjoy the meticulously restored furniture and antiques and take in the stunning views. Walk to a local restaurant for dinner.
Morondava and Drive through Baobab Alley
After breakfast, set out towards Nosy Kely and the mythical Baobabs Alley in western Madagascar. This Baobabs Alley is a group of baobab trees lining the dirt road between Morondava and Belon’i Tsiribihina. Enjoy the view, stopping for a lunch under the shade of these famous, impressive trees. Arrive at Palissandre Côte Ouest, with time to enjoy the beach at sunset before dinner and overnight.
Tsingy Bernaraha and Hiking in Bemaraha National Park
After breakfast, this section of your Madagascar safari will set out towards Bemaraha National Park. Spend the afternoon exploring the massive limestone needles and unique tropical forest on foot. Arrive at the Le Soleil des Tsingy hotel in time for dinner and overnight.
Lemurs in Bemaraha National Park
Today, visit the lemurs that live in the national park of Bemaraha. Learn about how they adapt to the seasonal fluctuations in temperatures and harsh conditions. Among the most unusual, the Cheirogalus midius – called Kelilbohoho in Malagasy – are the largest and most impressive. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Le Menabe Cultural Experience
After breakfast, drive back to Monrondava. Along the way, visit the le Menabe people and learn about the Sakalava people, know for their kilalaky dancing. Enjoy one more look at the famed baobabs before returning to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, dead to a nearby fishing village for a look into local life. Enjoy a tour and spend the afternoon here at the beach. This is a great opportunity to scuba dive or try your hand at kiteboarding. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, transfer back to Antanarivo and enjoy a final dinner in the city.

After breakfast you will depart on for the airport to connect with your scheduled commercial flight to Johannesburg where your Madagascar safari will conclude. Your international flight should be booked out of Johannesburg no earlier than early evening.
