Leroo La Ra Tau translates to ‘lion’s paw’ with the surrounding area featuring abundant lion, but also teems with zebra, wildebeest, leopard, cheetah, brown and spotted hyenas and jackals. Your twice daily game drives will take you along the riverbank of the Boteti River, into the interior of scrublands and grasslands where you will try your luck spotting the local inhabitants!
Return from a day of excitement to your lodge perched on a cliff, to lounge around the swimming pool or enjoy the panoramic river vista from the game-viewing hide built into the bank of the river. Enjoy a lemon, lime and bitters at the bar while listening to the wide variety of night sounds so characteristic of the African bush. Your days here conclude with a beautiful meal shared under the African sky and stories later told around the campfire set on the cliffs of the Boteti River.
Please note: Owing to their remote location within the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, the Makgadikgadi Pans themselves are not visited on daily scheduled activities from Leroo La Tau.
