Discover Chile

A nation of adventure and exploration, Chile is an untouched land waiting to be discovered.

DAY 4

This morning, you will transfer to Estancia Cerro Guido.

On the slopes of the imposing Cerro Guido (Guido Peak), the estancia, made up of rescued houses built by the pioneers in 1920, oozes charm and warmth. The delicate and elegant decor of the 12 rooms is inspired by the original English style of this homestead, but with all the modern comforts and amenities you could need.

This wonderful property embodies the atmosphere of the more traditional Chile.

DAYS 5-6

Torres del Paine National Park

Rise early and take part in the daily life of the huasos and countrypeople as they go about their activities on one of the largest livestock stations in the region.

After learning about the history and traditions of the estancia, head out with your guide in search of the elusive puma or hike one of the many trails available, either on foot or on horseback, before returning to the comforts of the hotel for a well-deserved home-cooked meal prepared by the chef.

DAY 7

DAY 10

San Antonio Winelands

Depart Patagonia for the fertile winelands of the San Antonio Valley.

Tucked away in the Cordillera de la Costa mountain range separating San Antonio and Santiago and only two and a half miles (4km) from the Pacific Ocean, the San Antonio Valley is Chile’s most coastal wine region with a very specific microclimate. The fruit ripens slowly here thanks to the cool ocean breezes from the Pacific, creating a distinctive flavor to the region’s wines. Consider a bike tour through the vineyards, or a helicopter ride.

La Casona at The Matetic has ten stylish and spacious rooms which blend comfort and elegance, all featuring en suite bathrooms, and a private terrace overlooking the gardens or vineyard.

Tour through the wine cellar with a tasting of four wines from the Ultra Premium EQ line, or cycle through the property along avenues of grape vines.

DAY 11

A Day in the San Antonio Valley

Discover the valley on foot or by bicycle whilst learning more about the winemaking process and the biodynamic garden, where organic and biodynamic agricultural practices originated from.

You will gain an understanding of the valley through tasting its multiple award-winning wines and end your day with a unique ‘chocolate shot’ experience.

DAY 12

Into the Atacama

Today you will transfer to the Atacama Desert and your penultimate residence, Nayara Alto Atacama Lodge and Spa.

Sandwiched between the Pacific and the Andes, Chile’s remote Atacama Desert offers a landscape like nowhere else on Earth. From jagged, rust-colored ravines, to endless white salt pans, the terrain is as extreme as it is beautiful.

Other activities may be available at an additional cost.
