Travel is an inseparable element of life for Heather.
She considers herself fortunate to have been raised by an adventurous flight attendant mother who regularly took her and her siblings to foreign places. The spirit of travel resonated with Heather so innately that she became a flight attendant herself in her early 20’s and continues to enjoy connecting with her customers at 35,000 feet- always delighting in her opportunities to amplify the magic of their journey with cheerful attention and helpful insight. Heather’s extensive experience in the world of flying has given her both an appreciation for a well-thought-out plan and an understanding that flexibility inspires growth. She loves Steinbeck’s quote “we do not take a trip; a trip takes us.”
Heather’s heart beats ardently for the beauty and wonder of the natural world and she relishes every chance to interact with or observe plants and animals. She is also fascinated by the immense variety of human culture on Earth and is always seeking to broaden her perspective through inquisitive conversation. Her passport features stamps from several countries throughout Europe, South and Central America, Africa, Oceanica and Asia- but she still mandates that she couldn’t possibly pick a favorite destination because each is so uniquely special. Though she has lived all around North America (including Alaska, Hawaii and Mexico), her current home is in the southern United States where she and her dog frequent the Appalachian Mountains. She travels light but always carries a journal.
