Ashley has been enamored by travel since she was a young child who was given to opportunity to travel through Europe and explore the wilds of her own backyard in Colorado. She has worked in the travel industry for the last 11 years and is still thrilled to be able to share her love of travel and the natural world with Rothschild Safaris clients every day.
Throughout her life, Ashley has always jumped any opportunity to explore, learn about the world, and get her boots dirty. She has traveled to: Kenya, Uganda, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Morocco; New Zealand; 49 States including Alaska and Hawaii, Canada, Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica, Bahamas, Colombia, Ecuador; Nepal, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam; Germany, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Spain, France, Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and Italy
Before joining Rothschild Safaris she guided international travelers through the US and Canada from Alaska to Florida; Hawaii to Nova Scotia and everywhere in between. Her passion for nature and the environment compels her to spend all of her free time exploring in the most remote areas she can. She loves backpacking, rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking, foraging, or immersing herself in reading about ecology, history, conservation and anything else that has to do with the outdoors.
Her passion for Africa began in 2009 when she lived in a village in Kenya helping local farming groups apply for micro loans and using any free time for adventures – rafting the Nile, on safari in the Mara, attempting to swing like a monkey in the jungle. Upon her return to the States she jumped headfirst into African travel and enjoys talking every day about the magic of Africa and the bush.
