About Kimberly Killick

Kim’s first journey on planet earth happened to be along a dirt road full of potholes in rural Malawi. Her parents continued to nurture their little girl’s thirst for adventure through a childhood filled with rural activities (hiking Mount Mulanje, sailing Lake Malawi, horse riding safaris in Nyika) and international travel.

Kim learned her lessons well. While she studied Communications and International development and Spanish at university in Madrid she worked three jobs to fund her European travel.

She has sailed the seas, learned to drive in Spanish and swam with dolphins in the middle of the Indian ocean. Kim also taught English in Madrid & Costa Rica before she returned to Malawi to throw herself into the travel business.

Her favorite destinations feature locations where exclusivity and privacy is a given and her top travel tip is being open to surprises and ready to take a chance and push your boundaries a little (never say no to dolphins).

Kim lives with her bush pilot husband and their two Malawi mutts in Maun Botswana. The adventure most definitely continues.

Why Rothschild Safaris? I love working with such a small and intimate team as it means we’re much more personable, not only with each other but our clients as well. We get to know each individual client personally and this turns into wonderful relationships over many years.
