Our clients Mark and Dary Ruderman recently returned from their honeymoon safari to South Africa and Victoria Falls, where they had the most amazing honeymoon.

Their trip started in Johannesburg with a night at the Fairlawns Boutique Hotel.  They then continued to Singita Boulders Lodge in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, where they enjoyed views of the wildlife-heavy Sand River.  Singita Boulders served as the perfect spot to see the Big 5, as well as cheetah, giraffe, zebra, a variety of antelope and many other creatures.  We received an email from Dary during their stay at Singita which simply said “Singita is awesome!”, with a photo attached of Mark taking it easy on the deck.  We all lived vicariously through them as we followed their day by day travels through beautiful South Africa.

Mark and Dary next spent four nights in Cape Town at the beautiful Cape Grace Hotel, one of our favorite places to stay.  While here, Mark and Dary enjoyed the following tours:

  • Private full day cultural tour of Cape Town, including a visit to the Tsoga Environmental Centre, a local school visit in Gugulethu, and a stop in the Khayelitsha township
  • Private full day Peninsula Tour, including a boat trip to view the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island, a stop at the breathtaking Cape Point, a visit to Boulders Beach and a tour of Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens

During their honeymoon safari, Mark and Dary dined at some of our very favorite Cape Town restaurants, including the Test Kitchen and 95 Keerom, both of which they enjoyed tremendously.

Following Cape Town, Mark and Dary ended their honeymoon safari with a two night stay in Victoria Falls.

We were so pleased to hear that Mark and Dary absolutely loved their trip.  Now Dary just has to convince Mark to fly on the lighter planes, as she would love to next travel to Tanzania!
