DAY 2 DELHI
Welcome to India! Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Oberoi Hotel for your first two nights in India!
One of the most distinguished addresses in the national capital, the Oberoi, New Delhi reflects the city’s spirit in a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary sophistication. Located close to the city centre near business, commercial and shopping districts, the luxury hotel overlooks Delhi Golf Club on one side and the heritage site of Humayun’s Tomb on the other. Exquisite interiors, impeccable service and fine cuisine combine to make this the Capital’s most graceful and elegant hotel.

DAY 3 DELHI
This morning, you will be met by your guide in the hotel lobby and transferred north of Delhi, known also as “Old Dehli” to begin your introduction to India’s vast cultural and architectural heritage. You will begin with a rickshaw ride in Old Delhi. Today, your tour includes Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb and Qutb Minar.
Chandni Chowk was once the grandest markets in all of India. Even though, today, Chandni Chowk appears choked with congestion, it retains its historical character. In Chandni Chowk, you will visit the Jama Masjid, the Friday congregational mosque, known as the largest and most glorious mosque in India. It was the last architectural extravaganza of the Mughal Emperor, built in 1656 AD.
You will then visit Humayun’s Tomb, which was the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent. The complex was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
Last but not least, you will visit Qutb Minar, a tower located in Delhi, at 72.5 meters high, is the world’s tallest brick minaret. Construction commenced in 1193 under the orders of India’s Muslim ruler Qutb-ud-din Aibak. The Qutb Minar is notable for being one of the earliest and most prominent examples of Indo-Islamic architecture. It is also listed as a UNESCO heritage site.

DAY 4 AGRA
After breakfast, you will be met by your guide and transferred, for approximately 5 hours, to Agra. On arrival in Agra, you will be transferred to the Oberoi Amarvilas for your one night stay.
Late afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of Fort Agra. The red sandstone Agra Fort was renovated and converted into a palace during Shah Jahan’s time. It was reworked extensively with marble and pietra dura inlay. Notable buildings in the fort include the Pearl Mosque, the Diwan-e-Am and Diwan-e-Khas (halls of public and private audience), Jehangir’s Palace, Khaas Mahal, Sheesh Mahal (mirrored palace) and Musamman Burj.
This evening, experience the Taj Mahal by sunset. Said to be one of the most elegant and harmonious buildings in the world, Taj Mahal is the manifestation of the wealth and luxury of Mughal art, as seen in its architecture, garden design, painting and calligraphy.
The city of Agra flourished under the patronage of the emperors Akbar, Jahangir and Shah Jahan and attracted artisans from Persia and central Asia. Agra is where Emperor Shah Jahan engraved his immortal love for his Empress in marble, the Taj Mahal. Agra is still famous for handicrafts products such as inlay work on marble, carpets, jewellery, zari and embroidery work.
The Oberoi Amarvilas is located just 600 meters from the magnificent Taj Mahal considered the finest example of Mughal architecture. The rooms and suites, lobby, bar and lounge all offer breath-taking views of the monument. Built in a style inspired by Moorish and Mughal architecture, the resort takes you back to an era of Emperors and Princes.

DAY 5 JAIPUR
Early this morning, experience a view of the Taj Mahal by sunrise. After breakfast, you will transfer by road to Jaipur, approximately 5 hours from Agra. Stop for a visit at Fatehpur Sikri before arriving to the Oberoi Raj Villas for your two night stay.
Fatehpur Sikri is a historical site constructed by Mughal Emperor Akbar in the 16th century and served as the empire’s capital from 1571 until 1585. Though the court took 15 years to build, it was abandoned after only 14 years because the water supply was unable to sustain the growing population.
Founded in 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, Jaipur is where modernity and tradition exist side by side. The walled city, vibrant with colours, houses the City Palace, an astronomical observatory and a bustling bazaar where artisans fashion puppets, silver jewellery, lac bangles and other handicrafts in their workshops.
Recreating the magnificence of princely Rajasthan, in a beautiful for setting, with Jaipur as the backdrop, the Oberoi Rajvilas is set in 32 acres of landscaped gardens with pavilions and reflection pools that create the romance and grandeur of Rajasthan. All rooms have large four poster beds and sunken marble baths overlooking private walled gardens. Air conditioned luxury tents have embroidered interior canopies, old style baths and outdoor decks.

DAY 6 JAIPUR
This morning is kept for a guided tour of the stunning Amber Fort, including the City Palace and Hawa Mahal.
Amber Fort is located 11 km from Jaipur. It as the ancient citadel of the ruling Kachhawa clan n Amber, before the capital was shifted to present day Jaipur. Amber Fort is known for its unique artistic style, blending both Hindu and Muslin elements. The City Palace, a wonderful combination of Mughal and Rajput forms of architecture, is now partly a museum housing miniature paintings, manuscripts, Mughal carpets, musical instruments, royal costumes, and weapons, giving invaluable insight into Jaipur’s royal past. Some of the instruments at the astronomical observatory are still in use today to forecast the weather and the turns of nature.
The focal point of the city the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, a five storey high Baroque-like structure built to enable the veiled ladies of the harem to observe the street scenes below and remain unnoticed.
Afterwards, you will be driven approximately 30-45 minutes to Kukas Village in Amber forest valley, where beautifully decorated elephants await your arrival with a beautiful wooden howdah that has decorative brass motifs. Here the elephant and his mahout welcome you and your safari begins. Each elephant carries two people through the winding riverbed. The elephants then take a route through a series of farms, fields and villages tucked along the countryside. Enjoy your elephant back safari for 30-45 minutes.
You will enjoy a scrumptious dinner at a private farm in Dera Amber before returning to the Oberoi Rajvilas for the evening.

DAY 7 UDAIPUR
Enjoy your morning at leisure. This afternoon, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the airport for your flight to Udaipur. On arrival in Udaipur, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Oberoi Udaivilas for your next two nights.
Delicate, feminine and elegant, Udaipur is known by many names – City of Sunrise, Jewel of Mewar and City of Lakes. Undoubtedly one of India’s most romantic cities, it nestles between the glassy waters of its famous lakes and the ancient Aravelli Hills. Although it is one of Rajasthan’s largest cities, modern Udaipur manages to retain a charming small town vibe.
Adorning the banks of Lake Pichola and standing witness to the historic City Palace, the Oberoi Udaivilas captures all the romance and splendour of a royal era. Rooms with terraces that open on to semi-private swimming pools present exquisite views and are a unique feature of Udaivilas. Each suite is magnificently decorated, some with private swimming pools and outside dining pavilions.

DAY 8 UDAIPUR
Today you will be taken for a guided city tour of Udaipur, including the City Palace, the Eklingji & Nagda Temples and Saheliyon-ki-Bari.
City Palace in Udaipur was built by the Maharana Udai Singh. It is located on the east bank of the Lake Pichola and has several palaces built within its complex. Udaipur was the historic capital of the former kingdom of Mewar in the Rajputana Agency and its last capital. The Palace was built in a flamboyant style and is considered the largest of its type in Rajasthan, a fusion of the Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles.
Eklingji, the city dotted with temples, is to the Horth of Udaipur. It is a complex of 108 ancient temples, incised out of sandstone and marble. The temple was built in 734 AD, to propagate the blessings of Lord Shiva. Eklinji and Nagda temples are an architectural marvel.
Saheliuon-ki-Bari is the “Garden of the Maids of Honour.” It was built by Maharana Sangram Singh in the mid-18th century for the ladies of his Maharani’s Zenana. The Garden is only 3 km from the Palace and one can imagine the line of palhis wending its way down to Saheliyon-ki-Bari for a day spent languidly collecting armfuls of flowers, frolicking in the fountains and exchanging the latest court gossip.
Later this afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the blue waters of Lake Pichola. Return to the Oberoi Udaivilas for the evening.

DAY 9 DELHI
Enjoy the morning at leisure. This afternoon, you will be met in the hotel lobby and transferred to the airport for your flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Trident Gurgaon, for your one night stay.
The award winning Trident Gurgaon is set amongst 7 acres of landscaped gardens, walkways and courtyards, reflection pools and fountains. The hotel is located in the central business district of Gurgaon, a part of the New Delhi National Capital Region. Its resort like ambience includes 129 rooms, 6 executive suites and 1 presidential suite.

DAY 10, 11, 12, 13 KANHA NATIONAL PARK
This morning after breakfast, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the airport for your flight to Raipur. On arrival in Raipur, you will be met by your guide and transferred by road, approximately 5 hours, to Kanha National Park and Banjaar Tola Tented Camp, where you will spend your final four nights in India.
Prime tiger wilderness, Kanha National Park was one of the first areas to be protected under Project Tiger, aimed at preserving this magnificent animal, and remains a renowned conservation area. This picturesque reserve boasts the ideal habitat for both tigers and their prey species. Lush sal and bamboo forests are interspersed with vast grassy meadows known as maidans, while the Banjaar River, which forms the park’s south-western border, provides a steady water source for the abundant wildlife. A huge population of various deer and antelope, including the extremely rare barasingha, supports a large number of tiger, leopard, jackal and wild dog.
Banjaar Tola Kanha Tented Camp overlooks the lush forests and grassy meadows of Kanha. Admire stunning river views from the privacy of your own verandah or share the experiences of the day on dramatic decks facing the Banjaar River.
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in Kanha National Park.

DAY 14 YOUR JOURNEY ENDS

Currency Exchange Rates: Due to the volatility of currency markets, we can only offer the most competitive pricing on our India tours by tying these costs directly to the value of the Indian Rupee. This is calculated based on an in-house exchange rate of 1.0 Indian Rupee to 0.018 USD. Approximately 90 days prior to your safari, we finalize the cost of your tour and make any necessary changes to the price on the final invoice. Generally, price changes are not necessary.
