Start practicing your Tarzan yellA World Heritage Site and one of the most complex tropical rainforest ecosystems on earth. It is also the largest continuous tropical rainforest on the Australian continent. You will find it on the northeast coast of Queensland, north of Mossman and Cairns. We are taking a Daintree Rainforest Tour!

Daintree Rainforest is home to 30% of Australia’s frog, reptile and marsupial species, 90% of the bats and butterflies and 7% of the birds… and of the 19 primitive flowering plant families on Earth, 12 families can be found in the Daintree region.

Look out while you are surfing through the jungle as you may spot 12,000 species of insects here.

And at Cape Tribulation, Daintree’s Rainforest meets the Great Barrier Reef (another UNESCO World Heritage site), so the rest of the region also has beautiful sandy beaches with fringing reefs just offshore…

Why

It is the best Daintree Rainforest Tour

Where

What

  • Your feet won’t touch the ground!

  • Start your tour on the Human Hamster Wheel to propel your group from the ground to the first platform.

  • Now you can enjoy six flying fox ziplines along five eco-friendly platforms between seven and sixteen meters above the ground. Each platform will give you access to a different layer of the rainforest.

  • The flights range from 37 to 95 m and are traveling in pairs except for one flight that is a solo trip across a creek (upside down flying is optional)

  • Gliding through the forest, taking in 360-degree views, you will keep going until you spy cascading streams leading you out to the Great Barrier Reef.

  • Did we mention the last leg features side-by-side racing if you like?

Duration and Weather

  • Prepare to surf for around two hours and in all weathers (unless there is a cyclone or electrical storm)

  • If it is raining you will get wet – so bring a change of clothes for after the tour.

Every tour is guided. Experts will control your equipment and tell you the fascinating tale of the world’s oldest rainforest and interpretive talks on every platform as you fly from the trees to the sea.
