    DAYS 1, 2, 3 ZANZIBAR ISLAND

    Today, you will connect with your scheduled flight from Kilimanjaro to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met by your guide and transferred to the camp of your choice, where you will enjoy your next three nights.

    About Shooting Star Lodge: A tranquil, effortlessly stylish hideaway on Zanzibar’s stunning Kiwenga coast. Cottages are hidden among the shade of tropical gardens just steps for the white sand beach and turquoise water of the Indian Ocean. Infinity pool, bar and outstanding ocean side restaurant.

    Lodging Type & Location: Boutique ocean front lodge.

    Guest Accommodations: Sixteen guest rooms built in traditional Zanzibari style with white lime washed walls, high beamed ceilings and picture windows featuring hand-carved Zanzibari 4 poster beds, en-suite bathrooms, private verandahs, air-conditioning and ceiling fans to complement the cooling sea breezes.

    About Zanzibar Island

    Zanzibar Island is a semi-autonomous part of Tanzania, in East Africa. It comprises the Zanzibar Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, just off the coast of the mainland, and consists of numerous small islands and two large ones: Unguja (the main island, informally referred to as Zanzibar), and Pemba. In April 1964 it joined Tanganyika to form a new republic that was renamed Tanzania in October 1964. The capital of Zanzibar, located on the island of Unguja, is Zanzibar City, and its historic center, known as Stone Town, is a World Heritage Site.

    After breakfast, you will be met in the hotel lobby and transferred back to the Zanzibar Airport to connect with your scheduled flight to Kilimanjaro. On arrival in Kilimanjaro, you will continue on under your own arrangements.

    Booking Conditions

    Rothschild Safaris: Terms and Conditions applicable on all tours. Cancellation insurance is highly recommended.

    Deposit Requirements: 20% per person deposit is required to confirm the booking. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure.
