Welcome to Africa! On arrival in Windhoek, Namibia you will be met by your guide and assisted to your light aircraft flight to Sossusvlei and Little Kulala Lodge, where you will enjoy your two night stay.
About Little Kulala Lodge: Situated within close proximity to the towering red sand dunes of the Namib Desert. Enjoy dining under the clear Namibian skies. The lodge has a library, wine cellar, lounge, dining areas and a swimming pool.
Camp Type & Location: Safari Lodge located situated in the private 37 000 hectare Kulala Wilderness Reserve, the gateway to Sossusvlei.
Guest Accommodations: 11 climate-controlled, thatched kulalas which merge impeccably into the timeless desert landscape, with exquisite fittings and fixtures and innovative bleached decks, with a private plunge pool. Each kulala has a rooftop ‘skybed’ for romantic stargazing, with both indoor and outdoor showers.
Activities: Morning and afternoon guided drives to the spectacular towering dunes of Sossusvlei & nature walks. Optional hot air balloon safari (cost available upon request).
Wildlife: Desert-adapted wildlife such as ostrich, springbok and gemsbok eke out an existence and are sparsely distributed around Little Kulala. Smaller creatures such as bat-eared fox and aardwolf can be seen at night in the cool desert air. One bird, the aptly named dune lark, has its entire global distribution limited to the area, so dependent is it on the area’s characteristic sands.
About Sossusvlei
The sand dunes of Sossusvlei are often referred to as the highest dunes in the world. Located in the Namib Naukluft Park, the largest conservation area in Africa, and fourth largest in the world. The best time to view Sossusvlei is close to sunrise and sunset; the colors are strong and constantly changing, allowing for wonderful photographic opportunities.
Overnight: Little Kulala Lodge (B, L, D, Local Beverages & Laundry)

After breakfast and your morning game drive, you will transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Damaraland and Damaraland Camp for your two next two nights.
About Damaraland Camp: The camp boats panoramic vistas of stark plains, ancient valleys and the soaring inselberg of the Brandberg Mountains. Evening meals are often prepared over an open fire and served out in the open. The swimming pool is sited next to the bar.
Camp Type & Location: Permanent Tented Camp situated in the Haub River Valley, arguably the most pristine wilderness area in Namibia.
Guest Accommodations: 10 adobe-styled, thatched unites each on raised individual wooden decking with large viewing deck and en-suite facilities.
Activities: Morning and afternoon game drives in traditional safari vehicles, nature walks and visits to Bergsig School.
Wildlife: On game drives, search for the desert-adapted elephant, a great favorite, gemsbok, greater kudu, springbok, and occasionally lion, cheetah, elephants and black rhino. Interesting flora such as euphorbias and shepherd’s trees can be viewed on the way to some of Africa’s best known rock engravings, including the famous Twyfelfontein etchings.
About Damaraland
Damaraland was a name given to the north-central part of what later became Namibia, inhabited by the Damaras. It was bounded roughly by Ovamboland in the north, the Namib Desert in the west, the Kalahari Desert in the east, and Windhoek in the south. In the 1970s the name Damaraland was revived for a bantustan in South West Africa (present-day Namibia), intended by the apartheid government to be a self-governing homeland for the Damara people. A centrally administered local government was created in 1980. The bantustan Damaraland was situated on the western edge of the territory that had been known as Damaraland in the 19th century.
