Your safari begins today as you board your international flight to Africa!
DAY 2 ARUSHA
Welcome to Africa! Upon arrival in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, you will be met by our representative and transferred by road to the Arusha Coffee Lodge, where you will enjoy your one night stay.
About Arusha Coffee Lodge: This inviting lodge radiates the warmth and style of a colonial plantation home. Well-appointed accommodations surrounded by Tanzania’s largest coffee plantation make the lodge a perfect place to relax and rejuvenate before or after your safari adventures.
Accommodation Type & Location: Safari lodge in Arusha, Tanzania surrounded by the country’s largest coffee plantation.
Guest Accommodations: Thirty invitingly furnished cottages are decorated in a palate of earth colors reflecting the land with split-level living areas, en-suite baths and private patios. The main plantation house features an ‘a la carte’ restaurant, intimate bar, cozy lounge (all with open log fireplaces), two boutiques, an enclosed swimming pool and a popular garden terrace.
Activities: Optional activities (some at extra cost) include coffee plantation tours, visits to the Museum of Natural History, shopping at a local Masai market or for Tanzanite at the lodge’s Tanzanite gift shop.

DAYS 3, 4, 5 TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
This morning, you will be met in the hotel lobby for your transfer to Tarangire National Park and Oliver’s Camp for your next three nights.
About Oliver’s Camp: The atmosphere of intimacy and a true bush experience prevail in this wonderful small camp in the wilderness of Tarangire. Olivers offers undisturbed open vehicle game drives, adventurous private fly camping and walking safaris that allow for a rare chance to stalk elephant on foot. Every evening, guests enjoy sundowners at the fireplace.
Accommodation Type & Location: Permanent Tented Camp located in the remote south of Tarangire National Park.
Guest Accommodations: Ten beautifully furnished guest tents scattered along the marsh edge with excellent views over the permanent water source. Tents are covered with traditional thatch and offer and outdoor shower and indoor toilet and wash facilities.
Activities: Off road driving on both morning and afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles and walking safaris which are the specialty at the camp. Walking safaris can take an hour or a whole morning or afternoon, but combined with fly camping they can take several days, letting you discover the most remote parts of Tarangire. The fly camp is typically booked as part of a walking safari or simply as a completely private night away from the main camp (the fly camping needs to be booked and arranged prior to your arrival)
Wildlife: During the dry season the park is refuge for many migratory animals including elephants, wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, eland and buffalo. You can also find large concentration of big cats and the best bird diversity in East Africa.
About Tarangire National Park
Tarangire covers 1100 square miles of savannah grasslands, open acacia woodland and ancient Baobab trees in northern Tanzania. During the June to November dry season, huge numbers of animals are drawn to the Tarangire River making it one of the most spectacular game locations in East Africa.

DAYS 6 & 7 NGORONGORO CRATER
After your morning game viewing activity, you will transfer by road to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will enjoy an afternoon game drive before continuing on to Ngorongoro Plantation Lodge for your two night stay.
About Ngorongoro Plantation Lodge: The lodge rests on the soft, red-brown hills amidst the vastness and silence of East Africa. Everywhere you look, you can see and even feel the personal atmosphere of this owner-run lodge with furnishings that were selected with great attention to detail.
Accommodation Type & Location: Lodge located a stone’s throw from the entrance to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Guest Accommodations: Sixteen rooms lie generously distributed throughout the flowering garden, some with verandas and direct access to the garden. Each room has its own style and private bathroom facilities.
Activities: Full day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. Optional activities available include: birdwatching, a coffee plantation visit, visit a working farm, and massage (for additional cost).
Wildlife: Some 25,000 animals live in the caldera which has a diameter of 19 kilometers. Lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, black rhino, hippo. Buffalo, eland, gemsbok.
About Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater is a 100 square mile natural amphitheatre in northern Tanzania created 2 million years ago when a volcano imploded leaving a 12 mile wide crater surrounded by an unbroken 2,000-foot high rim. It is home to 30,000 wild animals and provides outstanding game viewing in every season in a spectacular natural setting.

DAYS 8, 9, 10, 11 SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, enjoy a full day of game viewing as your make your way to Serengeti National Park and Dunia Camp for your next four nights.
About Dunia Camp: Dunia Camp is capable of offering excellent game viewing on a year round basis through access to some of the best wildlife locations the south central Serengeti has to offer. Although the structure of Dunia is that of a mobile camp, the attention to detail, spaciousness and luxurious quality imparts a feeling of permanence.
Accommodation Type & Location: Semi-permanent Tented Camp tucked away in a private location amongst the Meru Kopjes in central and southern Serengeti National Park
Guest Accommodations: Each of the eight spacious tents features a private en-suite bathroom and private veranda overlooking the kopjes.
Activities: Morning, afternoon of full day game drives in traditional safari vehicles. Optional hot air balloon ride (at additional cost).
Wildlife: Serengeti is host to the largest most spectacular annual migration of wildebeest. Over two million herbivores partake in this journey, including wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle. Serengeti’s resident wildlife include big cats, giraffe, buffalo, topi, hartebeest, waterbuck, impala, reedbuck, bushbuck, dikdik, hippopotamus, crocodile, warthog, and diverse wildlife.
About Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti is Africa’s most famous national park. It covers 5700 square miles in northwestern Tanzania stretching all the way to the Kenya border. Its vast grassland plains are the heart of the annual Great Migration where over a million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra and impala move throughout the year in search of fresh grazing.

DAYS 12, 13, 14 ZANZIBAR ISLAND
Enjoy a morning game drive before transferring to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Arusha. On arrival in Arusha, you will connect with your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. As you arrive in Zanzibar, you will be met by our representative and transferred to Matemwe Bungalows, where you will enjoy your final three nights in Africa!
About Matemwe Bungalows: One of the very few boutique lodges on the north coast of Zanzibar, Matemwe Lodge has perfected the island paradise experience. Offering superb diving and snorkeling, and beaches of the finest white sand, Matemwe’s secluded location and famed relaxed atmosphere makes it the ideal place to unwind.

About Zanzibar Island
Zanzibar Island is a semi-autonomous part of Tanzania, in East Africa. It comprises the Zanzibar Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, just off the coast of the mainland, and consists of numerous small islands and two large ones: Unguja (the main island, informally referred to as Zanzibar), and Pemba. In April 1964 it joined Tanganyika to form a new republic that was renamed Tanzania in October 1964.
