Your safari begins today as you board your international flight to Africa.
DAY 2 ARUSHA
Welcome to Africa! As you arrive in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania you will be met by your guide and transferred to Olasiti Lodge for your first night.
About Olasiti Lodge:Situated in a quiet residential area in Arusha.
Accommodation Type & Location: Guest house/lodge.
Guest Accommodations: Ten bungalows in the gardens and 9 rooms in a double storey building, all self-contained with private bathroom facilities.
DAYS 3 & 4 TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
This morning, you will be meet up with your group and your guide to begin your safari through some of the most spectacular parks in Tanzania. You will proceed to Tarangire National Park and Maramboi Tented Camp for two nights.
About Maramboi Tented Camp: The camp offers stunning views of the Manyara National Park, Rift Valley, Ngorongoro highlands and on clear days even Oldonyo Lengai a sacred mountain to the Maasai.
Camp Type & Location: Permanent Tented Camp located between Tarangire National park and Lake Manyara.
Guest Accommodations: Ten spacious tents built on ample wooden decks, all with en-suite facilities and private verandah.
Activities: Morning and afternoon game drives in traditional safari vehicles, guided walking safaris, bird watching and culture interactions with Datoga and Maasai tribes.
Wildlife: Herds of up to 300 elephants, migratory wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland abound, fringe-eared oryx and gerenuk, a smorgasbord for predators.
About Tarangire National Park
Tarangire covers 1100 square miles of savannah grasslands, open acacia woodland and ancient Baobab trees in northern Tanzania. During the June to November dry season, huge numbers of animals are drawn to the Tarangire River. Elephant herds of 300 can be seen along with 550 bird species and tree climbing pythons.

DAYS 5 & 6 LAKE EYASI
After breakfast and your morning game viewing activity, you will continue to Lake Eyasi for two nights at Kisimi Ngeda.
Enjoy an early morning walk at Tarangire before departing for Karatu, on the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater. Cross the floor of the Great Rift Valley near Lake Manyara. Then, mingle with villagers at local markets such as Mto Wa Mbu or Karatu. Shopping and bargaining for bolts of cloth, crafts, and local produce immerse you in a daily ritual of African life. Afternoon visit to a school then drive up the escarpment to Lake Eyasi arrive at your camp and relax in the evening.
The next day early morning enjoy a walking and hunting-gathering experience with the Bushmen (Wahadzabe) hunters or spend time participating in the morning routine of the settlement. Your local guide will interpret for you and discuss hunting techniques still used by the tribes. This dry and rugged landscape is inhabited by Bushmen who live in nomadic groups hunting with bow and arrow and gathering roots, tubers and wild fruits. Be prepared for an extraordinary cross-cultural experience as you join these nomadic Bushmen in their daily life.
In the afternoon you can also visit the Datoga, a tribe of semi-nomadic pastoralists who migrated into this area looking for good grazing land many decades ago, are interesting people to visit. They have so far resisted neighbouring tribes’ cultural infiltrations. The women, still wearing locally fat treated goatskin gowns, carve their faces and bodies to look prettier are usually seen. Learning about their history is fascinating.
About Kisima Ngeda Camp: The camp lies amidst a beautiful natural palm and acacia forest with a colossal rock as a backdrop and a natural spring nearby. Enjoy the open dining room and bar. There is a platform hidden in the reeds next to the spring where one can have a romantic dinner under the stars or chill out in the heat of the day and bird watch.
Camp Type & Location: Permanent Tented Camp located on the shore of Lake Eyasi. Across this huge, seasonal soda Lake that stretches away in front of the camp, the Alipi escarpment rises two thousand feet up into the Endulen area of the Ngorongoro Conservation providing a stunning view.
Guest Accommodations: Six tents built on permanent platforms with private en-suite bathroom, flush toilets and plenty of hot & cold running water.
Activities: Cultural experience with nomadic Bushmen, walking and optional hunting and gathering and the option to participate in the morning routine of the settlement.
About Lake Eyasi
Lake Eyasi is a salt lake situated between the Rift Valley’s Eyasi escarpment and the Kidero Mountains, the lake stretches for about 31 miles to the southwest. To the northeast the horizon is dominated by the impressive Crater Highlands and to the north the plains of the Serengeti. The area around Lake Eyasi is home to the Hadza and Watindiga Bushmen, some of the last remaining hunter-gatherers on the continent. The bushmen live in groups hunting with bow and arrows and gathering roots, tubers and wild fruits.

DAYS 7 & 8 NGORONGORO CRATER
Morning visit to local villages then drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area. This afternoon enjoy a walk with your guide along the crater rim or a walk around the coffee farm.
About Ngorongoro Farm House: The lodge faces the Oldeani Volcano, in Olodukan, a 500 acre coffee farm. The main building is covered with an elegant thatched roof and contains the reception, bar, dining area, library and lounge with a fireplace where guests can enjoy a rest during the cool evenings in the highlands. Enjoy the swimming pool during activities.
Camp Type & Location: Farm House located 4 kilometers from the Ngorongoro Conservation area Lolduare gate.
Guest Accommodations: 52 rooms with private bathrooms.
Activities: Full day game drive in Ngorongoro Crater.
Wildlife: Ngorongoro Crater is home to all of Africa’s Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo – plus hyena, jackal, eland, wildebeest, zebra, impala, gazelle and hundreds of bird species including seasonal flocks of flamingos on Lake Magadi.
About Ngorongoro Crater
The Ngorongoro Crater is a 100 square mile natural amphitheatre in northern Tanzania created 2 million years ago when a volcano imploded leaving a 12 mile wide crater surrounded by an unbroken 2,000-foot high rim. It is home to 30,000 wild animals and provides outstanding game viewing in every season in a spectacular natural setting.

DAYS 9, 10, 11, 12 SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, your journey will continue to the Olduvai Gorge where Mary Leakey discovered remains of Australopithecus Homo habilis and Homo erectus. You then continue to the Serengeti National Park for your next four nights.
About Serengeti Tented Camp: Comfortable accommodation and a unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari camp experience. Meals are served in the cozy mess tent isolated in the center of the camp. The campfire is prepped and ready every evening for appetizers and snacks before dinner.
Camp Type & Location: Permanent Tented Camp located in Central Serengeti, strategically located to cover the vast Serengeti Plains
Guest Accommodations: Twenty spacious tents, each with en-suite bathroom facilities. King or twin beds, bucket shower, hand basin and flush toilet are attached to the back of the tent. Lighting is supplied by solar lights.
Activities: Morning and afternoon game drives in traditional safari vehicles and visits to an authentic Maasai village or full day game drives.
Wildlife: Serengeti is host to the largest most spectacular annual migration of wildebeest. Over two million herbivores partake in this journey, including wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle. Serengeti’s resident wildlife includes big cats, giraffe, buffalo, topi, hartebeest, waterbuck, impala, reedbuck, bushbuck, dikdik, hippopotamus, crocodile, warthog, and diverse wildlife.

The Serengeti is Africa’s most famous national park. It covers 5700 square miles in northwestern Tanzania stretching all the way to the Kenya border. Its vast grassland plains are the heart of the annual Great Migration where over a million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra and impala move throughout the year in search of fresh grazing.

Your Tanzania safari comes to an end as you depart back to Arusha by road. Enjoy lunch en-route. Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon (at approximately 5pm) in time for your evening departure flight.
